Last weekend I hosted a “Favorite Things” party. Have you heard of this?
There’s a few different ways to “do” the party, but essentially it boils down to each person buying a favorite thing (with a suggested dollar amount; we did $25–$30), and then there’s a gift exchange.
Self-care was a big theme with the women at my party: candles and beauty products showed up more than once, and then there were things like word puzzles, a 2-week yoga membership, a hand-made mug, and a productivity journal. Each person shared why the thing they brought was a favorite thing, and it was such a fun way to learn about each other!

We did the old, “steal away, and the third person keeps it” game, and at the end I gave away a goodie bag with three of my favorite things:
Hosting a “favorite things party” is a great way to build connections, express gratitude, and laugh—all core elements of increasing happiness and wellbeing (AKA probably why you signed up to hear from me).
