Do you have a fall bucket list? You’ve probably seen them around; they’re filled with things like: go apple-picking, visit a pumpkin patch and corn maze, jump in a pile of leaves, and drink hot apple cider or a pumpkin spice latte. While I’m a huge fan of things like this (September to December is my most-favorite time of year!), I created a twist with my “Fall Joy List,” that includes several things you can do without ever leaving the house.
I hand-lettered the title (which is a fun way I personally relax) and made a printable checklist you can download here.
To give you an idea, the first one is: “Close your eyes and take 10 minutes to remember one of your favorite fall memories. Bonus: write about it.” (Super bonus, comment and tell me about it!)
Did you go on a hayride?
Walk through a haunted house?
Roast marshmallows?
Go trick or treating?
Bake an apple pie?
Get lost in a corn maze?
Carve a pumpkin?
Watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade?
Think about all the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes—relive that favorite memory.
If you want to have one idea magically show up in your inbox each Thursday over the next ten weeks, sign up for my newsletter.

[…] I LOVED hearing from you on some of your favorite fall memories! I heard about beautiful New England foliage, Halloween costumes, the “coziness” of the year, baking with family, and an appreciation for the weather cooling down. Some of you journaled about the memory, and some of you used the prompt as a conversation starter with a friend or partner. Thank you for sharing with me; I read and reply to every email. (In case you missed it, I’m sharing one simple idea every week for ten weeks; you can learn more and download the Fall Joy checklist here.) […]
