How do you feel about your birthday?
I’m one of those people who wants everyone to wish* me a happy birthday, from the cashier at Whole Foods to the barista at Starbucks to the UPS driver delivering my Amazon packages. “Hey, how are you? Today’s my birthday.” 😂
Are you this way too? Or would you rather no one mention it?
In case it’s your birthday this week too…happy birthday to us! (Unless you don’t want me to mention it…)
This weekend I celebrated my 43rd birthday by going to a hotel for a couple nights with friends, going to yoga and a hike, getting a massage, picking up my free Starbucks (nitro cold brew + cream), and THEN I had an experience I had actually put on my vision board for 2024…
A private chef made my birthday lunch. And not just any lunch – I requested a Thanksgiving feast!
I love turkey and gravy, mashed cauliflower, and spiced tea, and Thanksgiving Day is always a rush of prep and cleaning, so I wanted a day to enjoy my favorite foods AND pay someone else to do the dishes.
(Also, keeping a 2-year-old entertained at a restaurant isn’t super fun, so being able to be at home was fabulous.)
Did I mention enough that the chef did all the clean up? That was the best part.
So, one month into 2024, and I’m happy to check off one of the experiences I put on the vision board for this year: having a private chef come to our house, make delicious food, and do all the clean-up.
What’s on your dream/goal/vision board for this year?
If you haven’t made one yet, I’d love to invite you to one of the two sessions I’m leading this week—best part, I’m going to guide you step-by-step through exercises to help you get clear on what YOUR best life looks like, not society’s, your parents’, or the Instagram Influencer version (unless that’s actually what you want, then by all means, add that Bali swing and Parisian croissant).
And even if you’ve never made a vision board before, you’re going to walk out with a beautiful representation of all the things that light you up.
Two chances to join me live this week:
Tuesday, January 30, 10:00am–12:00pm PST (TODAY!)
Friday, February 2, 1:00pm–3:00pm PST
Use code VIP50 for 50% off.
See you soon?!
*BTW: Wanting everyone to wish me a happy birthday does NOT extend to the restaurants that SING you happy birthday. There is nothing like the awkwardness of not knowing where to look as people you don’t know (and who probably don’t want to be singing) are singing happy birthday to you… 😶 Agree?
