Last week I led The Manifesting Catapult, a live, 5-day program where we did one activity per day to support creating your best life. Today I want to share one of those activities with you—called As If Journaling.
“As If” Journaling
The activity is called “As If” Journaling. No, not talking about Alicia Silverstone à la Clueless, but journaling as if everything you’re dreaming about has come true.
That goal for the promo or time freedom or finding the love of your life or selling it all and retiring to a homestead full of baby Highland cows (just me?)…you write as though you are living that life.
For example, I might say:
“Ahhh, pinch me, I’m writing in my hotel room at the Shangri-la in Paris, and I can see the Eiffel Tower from my deck. I feel so grateful and lucky to be spending the summer in Europe. This morning I met my best friend for coffee and a croissant, and it was so buttery and delicious. We couldn’t stop laughing at…”
Writing like this opens up possibilities and creates hope for the future. Too many of us settle instead of allowing ourselves to dream and believe it’s possible.
