Last week, I had a 90-minute Strategy Session with a client; let’s call her M.
Before each session, I ask clients to come in with two things:
1. A big-picture goal
2. A clear intention for what they want to walk away with that day
M’s big goal = To live her most luxurious life
Her session goal = Develop a clear project plan, with a timeline of deliverables
We ended up exploring parts of her life she hadn’t expected to bring into the conversation—including how certain relationships were shaping her vision more than she realized.
By the end, she had exactly what she came for: a mapped-out plan and timeline for creating her personal vision board and bringing her next chapter to life.
She also walked away with five new tools she can use to help her reconnect with what matters and define what a luxurious life actually means to her.
Afterward, she told me:
“As soon as I left, I felt a physical surge of energy—a feeling of clarity and excitement I hadn’t experienced in a long time. For the first time in what feels like forever, I have a clear and actionable plan for the rest of my life. Thank you.”
M spends her days building thoughtful strategies for her clients, and she recognized she deserved that level of care and intention for her future too.
Strategy creates the spark. Taking action (even before you fully believe) is what turns it into lasting change.
Belief shifts don’t always come with a dramatic “aha” or a mic drop moment.
Most of the time, it’s a lot quieter than that.
So if you’re thinking about all the work YOU’VE been doing the last month during our “Belief Shifting” series and wondering how to know if it’s actually working…
Let’s talk about what it feels like when a belief starts to land.
You’ll notice…
And one day—maybe in six months, maybe sooner—you look back and realize, I don’t think that way anymore.
Yay, great news, right?
But…what if that old story shows up again?
Spoiler: It will. 😒
That limiting belief you thought you “fixed” suddenly taps you on the shoulder.
Sigh.
But here’s the good news: it doesn’t mean the shift didn’t happen. Or that the work you’ve done didn’t stick.
It just means your brain is revisiting a well-worn loop.
Think of it like walking the same path through the forest—over time, that trail becomes clear, automatic, easy to follow.
So when you’re creating a new path, it’s not unusual to find yourself drifting back to the old one. It’s familiar. It’s fast. It doesn’t require effort.
But growth means choosing consciously to pause…and take the new path instead.
The thing is, our brains are wired to keep us safe. And “new” can feel risky—aka, unsafe.
Familiarity feels safer—even when it’s dragging you backward.
Backward from the goals on your vision board.
Backward from the version of you who actually believes she’s ready.
But you didn’t come this far to rerun old stories. Your future self is waiting—and she’s not back there.
So your first step?
Just notice. That’s it.
“That’s an old belief. It’s familiar, not fact. I have a choice, and I’m choosing something new.”
That’s the beauty of neuroplasticity: your brain can change.
It can build new patterns, thought loops, and emotional defaults—on purpose.
But it doesn’t happen in one leap. It happens with repetition. Awareness.
Choosing the new path over and over again until that becomes the easy one.
And sometimes, that shift clicks faster when you’re not doing it alone.
🎉 This is why I created Strategy Sessions. To sit with you to untangle the overthinking and turn “I have these big dreams” into “Here’s what I’m doing next.”
If that’s what you need right now, this is your invitation.

This wraps our 5-part series on Shifting Beliefs. If you missed a week—or want to revisit a piece—you can find the full series on the blog:
What did you think about this series?
I’d love to know what you want more of…what’s been resonating…and where you still might be feeling stuck or curious.
