OMG, I am so giddy right now; I can’t stop smiling. 😄
There is a private chef in my kitchen right now. As I’m typing, I can hear the sound of pots and pans clinking downstairs, and I am celebrating one of the photos on my vision board coming true.

I follow a few private chefs on Instagram, and I love watching them create meals from fresh, in-season ingredients, or whip up meals their clients requested. I’ve thought countless times how incredible it would be to see a recipe and just forward it to “my chef” to make next week. Like, what?! 🤯
Having someone else handle the mental load of, “What should we have for dinner tonight?” and thinking about overall nutrition is such a privilege.
My husband and I did some back-of-the-napkin math and figured between what we spend on groceries and DoorDash, maybe this dream wasn’t totally out of the question.
We’re not at the stage (yet?!) where someone handles every meal, every day, but we didn’t want the version where a chef works in a commercial kitchen and families “share” whatever’s made. We wanted someone cooking our menus, in our home.
So we were excited to find a weekly service where we get to choose everything on the menu; then they come to the house, cook, package everything for easy reheating, and, of course, leave the kitchen spotless.
Time will tell if this is a long-term fit. We’re historically terrible about eating leftovers, so I’m curious how “reheat and eat” will go.
But on day 1 I’m feeling ridiculously grateful for this vision board come-to-life moment.
What’s something on your vision board that maybe feels a little out of reach today, but you’d be so freaking excited to experience?
Reply and tell me. Say it out loud. Call it in. You deserve it!
Cheering for you,
Nicole
