Are you a morning person? I got up at 5:45 this morning (early for me 🥱) to lead a session of The Ultimate Vision Board Workshop for a group at Google. It was a lovely group who asked some great questions.
I wanted to share the answers I emailed back, in case they’d be helpful to you too.
(If you didn’t know, I have a self-paced version of this workshop you can do on your own time.)
What if you have more than one idea for your career/job?
You can live a life that has very little to do with how you earn a living.
Should my vision board be time bound to one year?
Not necessarily. My approach to vision boards = BIG DREAMS. This is your space to visualize the life you really want, no matter how far-off it might feel. Travel to 100 countries? Write a book? Buy your dream house? It all goes on the vision board. This is about deep-seated passions and short-or-long-term goals.
The purpose is to spark the feelings of your ideal life. Your vision board should feel inspiring, expansive, and exciting. If it feels overwhelming or stressful, that’s not the vibe. You don’t need to know how it’s all going to happen; you just need to allow yourself to want it.
If you want something more goal-oriented, try making a Bingo card that is about action and achievement. It’s a playful way to set concrete milestones and track your progress throughout the year.
