Last week someone sent me a text I didn’t know how to respond to, so…I didn’t. For two days.
But the whole time, it was taking up mental space. Just sitting there.
Lingering. Bugging me. Stealing little bits of energy every time I remembered it was still “unanswered.”
(Fun fact about me: I will answer personal texts in 2 minutes if I happen to have my phone in hand…or approximately 7–10 business days. 🫣 I don’t have notifications on my phone—on purpose—for boundaries, focus, and mental health. And sometimes crafting the “right” response with the “right” tone…emojis?…too many exclamation points?…just feels overwhelming.)
And yet, even knowing that, I still felt bad not replying right away.
When did we agree that when someone sends you a text or email or ping, you have to drop what you’re doing to respond?
I can’t remember where I first heard this quote, but “Your inbox is someone else’s to-do list” really resonated with me.
Of course, there’s kindness, respect, common decency, or needing to respond to a client or your boss—but who ingrained in us that every ask deserves a yes? Or at least a response?
One thing I’ve learned: The “should” voice in your head (be nice, be generous, don’t make a scene) isn’t your intuition. It’s conditioning.
There’s a difference between your “inner knowing / guidance / wisdom” and the programming we’ve received.
And a lot of times, that “should” voice is costing you energy.
So, in case you needed to hear this today too: It’s okay to disappoint someone else to honor your own boundaries.
And when you start doing that—when you stop spending energy on what you should do—you make space for what actually matters.
You start hearing your own voice again. You remember what you want. You make decisions with intention instead of out of obligation.
These are the kinds of things I’ve been learning and unlearning, and it’s exactly the kind of shift I created The Manifesting Accelerator to support.
If you’ve been feeling the pull for more—not more to do, but more clarity, more fun, more ease—you’re not alone.
That next-level version of you? She’s relaxing at the Four Seasons, ordering room service, and manifesting you to choose yourself already.
Big dreams need more than a vision board.
They need space. Strategy. And an identity that matches the life you’re calling in.
The Manifesting Accelerator was created to help you reconnect with what you truly want, and start living it.
Rooted in neuroscience, mindset, and a touch of magic, this self-paced experience guides you from dreaming to doing—in a way that feels aligned, joyful, and totally doable.
When you join by Friday, May 30 at midnight PT, you’ll also receive:
✨ Magic & Mindset: my 1-hour, science-backed manifesting class
✨ A private 30-minute session with me: limited to the first 3 who join
(I don’t normally offer short sessions like this, so if you’ve wanted personal support, this is a rare opportunity.)
You’re allowed to say no to what drains you—and yes to what lights you up.
If this feels like a yes…I’d love to welcome you in, First name / friend.
