Last week I shared the difference between a Vision Board and a Bingo Card. (In case you missed it, I’ve included it below my signature). The gist is that a Bingo Card is more about goals that you typically know HOW to get done—so it’s a way to prioritize them, keep them top of mind, and get the brain confetti rush that comes from checking off an accomplishment.
It’s a great tool to use alongside a vision board (where you visualize the big life dreams that you may not know HOW to accomplish yet).
Because Bingo cards are usually smaller goals, I like the idea of quarterly (or monthly, if you’re motivated by them) visuals that are easy to check off when doing ONE thing. For example, instead of saying “read 20 books,” you could say “read one non-fiction book,” and “read one business book” in different spots.
And don’t forget the middle spot is a freebie, so you can put a big ol’ heart in the middle, or something obvious, like, “blow out a candle on my birthday to celebrate turning X.”
Some people like to celebrate for each goal, and some do the traditional “BINGO” where you celebrate when you get 5 in a row (up/down, across, or diagonal).
I’ve created a couple templates for you; choose whichever matches your vibe:
1. Here’s a Canva template you can use to add digital photos, then print out on 8.5″x11″ paper.
2. Here’s a blank version you can print out—you might use text to describe the goal, or cut and paste in images, or even draw. (I’m picturing people who create gorgeous bullet journal pages.)
Let me know which one you choose and how it goes!
If the template doesn’t automatically open, click “Create with Canva” in the top right corner:
And if you post your Bingo Card on social, please tag me on Instagram or LinkedIn, so I can cheer for you there!
