There’s supposedly a “bomb cyclone” headed my direction today, and I’m about to hop on a plane, so keep your fingers crossed for a smooth exit for me, please! 🤞🏻
Have you ever thought about why we say things like “cross your fingers” or “touch/knock on wood”? Or why people wear the same outfit every time they fly, or don’t wash a jersey 🤢 when their team’s in a winning streak?
These little rituals are all about invoking luck, a force outside of ourselves that we hope will bring us good fortune. But how much control do we really have over luck?
While science proves our mindset plays a role (I have a free class coming out on this soon!), what about those times when things just seem to fall into place perfectly? Like when you hit every green light on your way to an important meeting, or a front row parking spot opens up the moment you arrive?
Just a coincidence? Or something more?
Have you ever felt like The Universe was conspiring in your favor? I believe there’s a powerful connection between our thoughts, our actions, and the opportunities that come our way. And while we can’t control every external circumstance, we can certainly influence the energy we bring.
